The American Parkinson Disease Association’s “Connecting Through Art” classes will be held on June 14, July 12, and August 9 from 11am-12:30pm at The Forum at San Antonio (23500 Cristo Rey Dr, Cupertino, CA). There is no cost to attend, but registration is required.
Connecting Through Art classes allow those impacted by PD the opportunity to express feelings, emotions, and daily concerns through a creative activity, while also connecting with others who share some of the same challenges. While connecting with others enhances mood and quality of life, the activity itself may also help to improve visual-cognitive skills, hand dexterity, and general motor function.
Each Connecting Through Art class is led by a board certified art therapist using various media, including watercolors, pastels, stamps, and stencils. All necessary art supplies will be provided.
