Join either live or view the archived version within a few day of the live webinar (in most cases). Program: As humans, we would like to think we have an infinite amount of time on this earth. However, the reality is, our time will eventually run out. Regardless of what people think about death, many individuals don’t feel comfortable talking about death, dying and grieving. While talking about death is not easy, end-of-life planning is vital to ensuring the individual’s wishes are carried out, It is especially important that all is in order to ease the burden of decision-making on their loved ones

“Potential Risks and Benefits of Hospitalizations for Persons with Dementia”

Program:  Our presenter will discuss the impact on hospitalizations for individuals living with Alzheimer’s or other dementia. She will identify ways that cognitive, behavioral, and functional symptoms of dementia increase a person’s risk for hospitalization. In addition, she will explore the challenges and potential harms associated with hospitalization for persons living with dementia. Lastly, she will review issues associated with hospital discharge and post-hospitalization care transitions

We’ll see how the search for meaning can buoy us up, even in the darkest times.  And we’ll go beyond just the theory to reveal actual practical ways we can discover this meaning
