The Bronte-Stewart Lab at Stanford is seeking participants with Parkinson’s disease or without neurological symptoms or disease for a study to validate a non-invasive device for the assessment of fine motor control. The purpose of this study is to upgrade and validate a portable computerized piano keyboard (KeyDuo) to objectively quantify movement.
For those with a diagnosis of Parkinson’s Disease, participants for the study:
- Are above the age of 18
- Diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease
- Attend research visits (1-2 hours) to perform a series of finger tapping tasks
- Answer questionnaires related to the task and the KeyDuo device
- Enrolled participants receive paid parking and $25 gift card
For those without neurological symptoms or disease, participants for the study:
- Are above the age of 18
- Do not have neurological symptoms or disease
- Attend research visits (60 min) to perform a series of finger-tapping tasks
- Answer questionnaires related to the task and the KeyDuo device
- Enrolled participants receive paid parking and $25 gift card
