“Making the Most of Your Time with Your Parkinson’s Doctor”

Program: Most Parkinson’s patients only see their doctor a few times a year. Visits tend to be short and leave limited time to discuss symptoms and ask questions. This webinar will focus on helping you and your loved one make the most of your visit with your neurologist or movement disorder specialist including: how to prepare for an appointment, what questions to ask and how to foster communication with your doctor.

Presented by Partners in Parkinson’s

Moderator: Dave Iverson. Presenters to be advised at time of webcast.

“The Secret to Success in LSVT LOUD® and LSVT BIG®:  It is more than just exercises!”

Program: The “heart of success” of LSVT LOUD® and LSVT BIG® therapy depends upon each person’s ability to recognize, accept, and then consistently produce louder speech and bigger movement that is required to be within normal limits.  This webinar will review three key elements of PD that can make achieving this goal challenging, including sensory, internal cuing and subtle neuropsychological changes.  This will be followed by a review of how LSVT BIG® and LSVT LOUD® participants can make sure they are setting themselves up for success as they complete all components of LSVT treatment including daily homework and carryover assignments.

Presented by: LSVT Global

Presenters: LSVT Certified Clinicians

“Alpha-synuclein: Stopping the Sticky Protein behind Parkinson’s”

Program: Nearly everyone with Parkinson’s has clumps of the protein alpha-synuclein in brain cells, which researchers believe may lead to disease symptoms and progression. Our panelists will discuss clinical trials of therapies to prevent or treat those clumps and protect cells, as well as what we know about this key protein.

Presented by the Michael J. Fox Foundation

Moderator: Dave Iverson. Presenters to be advised at time of webcast.
