Qi Gong and Parkinson’s Exercise Classes begin August 2nd, 3rd at Stanford’s Neuroscience Health Center

Two new classes will be offered beginning in early August in the Wellness Room 1511, Stanford Neuroscience Health Center. Qi Gong for Vitality, offered every Wednesday from 1:00-2:00 PM, begins on August 2nd and welcomes walk ins. Parkinson’s Exercise Class, offered every Thursday from 2:00-3:00 PM, and again from 3:00-4:00PM begins on August 3rd and requires pre-registration. All classes are free.

Qi Gong for Vitality

People of all ages and abilities can learn to tap into their Qi (vital life force) via skillful application of  Gong (healing exercise craft), The group will work on mindful breathing, movement, posture, coordination and energy flow. Join the group and gain greater vitality, relaxation, and transformation

Date and Time: Every Wednesday, 1:00-2:00 PM

Parkinson’s Exercise Class

This exercise program is designed specifically to target PD symptoms. The exercises performed in the class are the building blocks for everyday movement and are performed with large amplitude, high effort, and attention to action in multiple postures. Please note that there are two class options depending on the participant’s physical strength and mobility.

Registration required.

Date and times: Every Thursday, 2:00-3:00 PM and 3:00-4:00 PM (back-to-back classes)
