Mat Yoga Class at Stanford Neuroscience Health Center, Fridays, 10:45-11:30am

April 17, 2018 By Parkinson's Community Help

This mat yoga class — meeting for over a year — is designed for clients who can get up and down without another person’s assistance. The class is free and open to all neuroscience patients, regardless of where they receive care, and caregivers. Attendees will be guided through stretches and circulatory warm-ups, a complete set of joint-mobilizations, and several strengthening exercises, supplemented with classical yoga asanas (positions), and finishing with a few minutes of progressive relaxation. Brief mindfulness practice and a final healing affirmation are offered.
