Ellen Corman, manager of Stanford Health Care’s Farewell to Falls program, will be talking about “Fall Prevention in Parkinson’s” at the Menlo Park Parkinson’s Support Group meeting on Wednesday, August 8th, 2-3:30pm at Little House, 800 Middle Ave., Menlo Park. This event is free and open to the public. No need to RSVP.
Falls are the leading cause of hospitalizations and nursing home rehabilitation stays for those living with Parkinson’s disease. Come learn strategies to prevent falls including the importance of exercise, managing medications and exploring minor home modifications.
