Dr. Gilbert’s guests will be a group called the PD Movers, who have developed an educational guide designed specifically for the Black and African American community. This beautiful storybook, The PD Movers – We Keep Moving, is a compilation of narratives of those living and thriving with PD. PD Movers hope these stories will removing the mysteries and misconceptions of Parkinson’s disease and provide useful resources regarding diagnosis and treatment to allow others to thrive with Parkinson’s disease.
Dr. Gilbert and her guests will talk about a wide variety of issues that concern PD and people of color including challenges with diagnosis, clinical care, living well, research participation, and more. They will not only share their perspectives, but answer YOUR questions live!
