The American Parkinson Disease Association is offering a new three-part web series called Thriving Through Occupational Therapy. Participants will explore the many ways occupational therapy can benefit people living with PD.
Each episode will focus on different aspects of OT and offer helpful advice on how to use OT to help maximize quality of life throughout the PD journey. Trained experts in OT will share practical knowledge, provide tips and tricks to help with daily living, and answer questions live during the program.
The first episode, Occupational Therapy 101 for Parkinson’s Disease, will be on Thursday, September 14 at 11:30am PT. The speaker, Amanda Landsbaum, MS, OTR/L, will focus on the basics of occupational therapy for people living with PD. She will explain what OT is (and isn’t) and how it can make daily life easier. Attendees will come away with some great OT-based tools and tips for daily success, and Amanda will answer questions live during the program.
