Tips, Tricks, Tweaks and Hacks for Parkinson’s

October 24, 2024 By Parkinson's Community Help

Living with Parkinson’s disease (PD) can present unique challenges, but sometimes small adjustments can make a big difference in day-to-day life. If you’ve ever thought, “There’s got to be an easier way to do this!” the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) has got you covered with practical tips from people living with the disease and expert advice from medical professionals.

Whether it’s a simple trick that helps you remember to take your medication on time, or a mindset shift that helps you reframe how you’re handling a certain aspect of life with PD, there are ways to make life a little better or a little easier.

These three webinars from the monthly series, “Dr. Gilbert Hosts” even include something special for those who are ‘Flying Solo’ (people with PD who don’t have a life partner and are more reliant on themselves for the day-to-day).

Tips & Tricks from an Occupational Therapist – expert advice on how you can adapt your routines and surroundings so you can function at your best.

Hacks, Tricks and Medication Tweaks from a Movement Disorders Specialist – everything from medication adjustments and acupuncture to constipation and dizziness…and much more.

Advice from People Living With PD – a panel of four exceptional people who collectively have been living with PD for more than 60 years answer a wide range of questions. The perspective of people who have “been there” can be so valuable!

To find the next great episode of Dr. Gilbert Hosts and other APDA webinar series, as well as live online PD exercise classes, check out the APDA Events page.
