Stanford Health Care’s Neuroscience Wellness Classes offer free classes that help those with Parkinson’s, their caregivers, and any others in the community take care of their mind and body. These meditation, fitness, and creative arts classes focus on balance, strength, and relaxation. They also give people a way to connect with others who have similar experiences. Classes are open to the community, and patients and caregivers of all ability levels are welcome.  You do not have to be a Stanford patient.

Neuroscience Wellness Classes offers a selection of classes specifically for people with Parkinson’s Disease:

  • Dance for Parkinson’s Disease (virtual)
  • Exercise for Parkinson’s Disease (virtual)
  • Tango for Parkinson’s Disease (in-person, Palo Alto)

Other classes that may be of interest to people with Parkinson’s Disease include:

  • Find Your Balance (virtual)
  • Sit and Be Fit (virtual)
  • Sound Bath (in-person, Palo Alto and virtual)
  • Ukulele Rhythms (in-person, Palo Alto)
  • And many more!

This list is current as of November 2024; class availability is subject to change.  Note that the classes that land on/near holidays are re-scheduled.
