

Stanford’s Movement Disorders Center and Brain Support Network are pleased to present Carla Abdelnour, MD, speaking on Lewy Body Dementia: Future Directions, on Thursday, April 17, 1pm PT. Dr. Abdelnour’s talk will focus on recent research findings and future research that may affect treatment of those with LBD. She will provide a short overview of Lewy body dementia (LBD), which is an umbrella term that includes Parkinson’s Disease Dementia and Dementia with Lewy Bodies.
Dr. Abdelnour in on the verge of completing her post-doctoral research at Stanford, which focused on Lewy body dementia. She is returning to Spain, where she will continue her clinical practice as a dementia and movement disorder specialist.

This 90-minute webinar will be moderated by Linda Higueras with Brain Support Network. Linda’s mother had Lewy body dementia. Linda is a longtime member of the local San Francisco Bay Area Lewy Body Dementia support group coordinated by Brain Support Network.
