The Stanford APDA (American Parkinson Disease Association) Information & Referral Center’s Connecting Through Art (CTA) program has met for the last several years in Cupertino.  As of October 2025, we are partnering with PD Active to bring the program to the East Bay.  This creative arts program that offers people with PD the space and ability to express feelings, emotions, and daily concerns through drawing and painting.  Care partners are welcome.  In even-numbered months we will meet in Berkeley and in odd-numbered months we will meet in Cupertino.  Generally, we will gather on the second Saturday of each month, 10:30am-12pm, though the date may change according to the instructor’s schedule. 

The Stanford CTA program provides a supportive and therapeutic environment that encourages participant reflection as they participate in art activities that help strengthen fine motor movements.  It is sponsored by the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA).  Art supplies will be provided.  Participants are welcome to bring refreshments to share.
