Caring from Afar for a Parent with PD – APDA Webinar, February 26, 11am PT – Register Now

February 12, 2026 By Parkinson's Community Help

In the second episode of the new American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) webinar series “Caring With Confidence,” author and adult child care partner Lianna Marie will share tools to be an effective and connected care partner, even at a distance. Read more about what attendees will learn and register now for this free webinar, taking place on Thursday, February 26 at 11am PT.

When distance stands between you and a parent with Parkinson’s, worry and guilt can feel overwhelming. In this uplifting session, Lianna Marie — author, speaker, and lifelong advocate whose mother lived with Parkinson’s for 30 years—draws on her firsthand experience managing care from hundreds of miles away.

With empathy and practical know-how, Lianna unpacks the emotional weight of long-distance caregiving, then offers clear guidance on staying connected, coordinating effective support teams, and extending the grace you deserve to yourself. Walk away with actionable tools to ease guilt, strengthen communication, and provide meaningful care — no matter the miles between you and your loved one.
