Kathleen Poston, MD, a movement disorder specialist at Stanford, will be talking about “Mind, Memory, & Mood” at the Menlo Park Parkinson’s Support Group meeting on Wednesday, October 11th, 2-3:30pm, at Little House. She will provide an overview of the cognitive domains, and indicate which are problematic in Parkinson’s. Dr. Poston will define “dementia” in the context of Parkinson’s Disease Dementia or Lewy Body Dementia. And she will describe the common mood symptoms in PD. Veronica Santini, MD, MA, a movement disorder specialist at Stanford, will be talking about Complementary Therapies and Parkinson’s disease at the Palo Alto Young Onset Parkinson’s Disease (YOPD) support group on Tuesday, October 10, 6:30-8:15pm, in the Board Room at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital.
