On Wednesday, April 9, at 4:30pm the Avenidas Rose Kleiner Center in Mountain View will host a free, interactive, two-hour workshop about the potential benefits of palliative care for people and families coping with chronic neurological illness, like Parkinson’s Disease and dementia. On Wednesday, April 9, at 2:30pm three research coordinators from Stanford will talk about research opportunities for those with Parkinson’s Disease (and perhaps healthy controls). We will hopefully receive all speakers’ permission to record the talks and post them to the Palo Alto Parkinson’s support group webpage, but attend in person so you can ask questions via the chat or the Question box.

This is a great opportunity to increase awareness about PD, its symptoms, and the challenges of living with PD as well as caring for someone with PD. We hope that raising awareness can generate support for all those affected by this neurological disorder.
