

Pegah Kahali, MD, Stanford movement disorder specialist, will be speaking to the Willow Glen Parkinson’s Support Group in San Jose, on Friday, February 6, 2026, at 10am. Her topic is freezing of gait (FOG) in Parkinson’s Disease (PD). She will update group member on research into FOG and offer some suggestions on coping with this symptom.
About the Willow Glen Parkinson’s Support Group:
This PD support group meets on the first Friday of every month (except there’s no meeting in July). This support group is open to those with Parkinson’s as well as their families, friends and care partners. No need to RSVP.

About the Speaker:
Pegah Kahali, MD is a board-certified neurologist and clinical instructor in the Department of Neurology at Stanford University, with subspecialty training in Movement Disorders. Originally from Tehran, she obtained her medical degree from Tehran University of Medical Sciences, followed by a research fellowship in systems neuroscience, electrophysiology, and neuroimaging in Boston. She completed her neurology residency at the University of Southern California/LA General Medical Center and subsequently pursued fellowship training in Movement Disorders at Stanford. Her clinical expertise centers on advanced therapies for Parkinson’s disease and related disorders, including deep brain stimulation (DBS).
