Advocating for Accessible Community Spaces

The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) and Access Coalition are co-hosting a webinar on making community spaces more accessible and welcoming for people with Parkinson’s disease (PD) and others with disabilities.  Learn about learn about Access Coalition’s new resources for inclusive design.  And hear from a panel about how accessible design can support independence.  The speakers will share tips for ways people with PD can use their personal experiences and stories to advocate for positive changes in their communities and public spaces. 

Advocating for Accessible Community Spaces

In this webinar, you will learn about Access Coalition’s practical tools that help businesses and organizations create spaces that are easier for everyone to use and enjoy. 

The panelists include Access Coalition leaders and members of the Parkinson’s community.  The panel will discuss how accessible design can improve everyday experiences, support independence, and benefit both individuals and businesses.

Whether you are interested in improving access in local businesses, community organizations, or public spaces, this webinar will provide information, tools, and inspiration to help you make your voice heard.
