On Friday, March 21, 2025, the California Attorney General issued an urgent customer alert to those who have a 23andMe account. In its alert, the AG’s office provides instructions for how to delete your genetic data; request 23andMe destroy your test sample; and revoke permission for your genetic data to be used for research. There are still concerns about what data will be retained by 23andMe.

Dr. Abdelnour’s talk will focus on recent research findings and future research that may affect treatment of those with LBD. She will provide a short overview of Lewy body dementia (LBD), which is an umbrella term that includes Parkinson’s Disease Dementia and Dementia with Lewy Bodies.
