Register now for an in-person Parkinson’s Disease (PD) and Other Related Disorders Education Day, to be held on Friday, June 24, 8am to 5pm, at the Foster City Crowne Plaza. Presenters include Stanford movement disorder specialist Dr. Laurice Yang and Stanford geriatrician Dr. Mehrdad Ayati. Dr. Yang will address PD therapeutics while Dr. Ayati will speak to medical complications of PD. This event is hosted by the Rotary Club of Foster City.

On May 17 the Davis Phinney Foundation (DPF) hosted a webinar on Medical Myths and Parkinson’s. Neurologist Benzi Kluger writes a blog on medical myths. In this webinar he discussed how to detect medical myths, the effect of unregulated supplements, and debunked myths surrounding cannabis, stem cells, deep brain stimulation, diet, and exercise.
