Parkinson’s Awareness Month is about bringing attention to the Parkinson’s community.
Think about things you can do to raise awareness of Parkinson’s Disease in your local area and your needs, particularly if they are unmet needs. Talk to your local newspaper, to your religious community, to your local hobby group, to your fitness class members, etc. Let them in one what it’s like to cope with Parkinson’s Disease.

Parkinson Association of the Rockies (ParkinsonRockies) hosted a webinar on Practitioner Assisted Stretching for Parkinson’s Disease at the end of January. While there is much said about the importance of exercise in maintaining quality of life for those with PD by slowing disease progression, there is not much emphasis placed on the importance of stretching as a part of a good PD exercise routine.
