In early November, the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) hosted a webinar on research in Parkinson’s disease (PD). The webinar featured expert physical therapist for PD Dr. Terry Ellis and movement disorder specialist Dr. Marie Saint-Hilaire. Dr. Saint-Hilaire discussed the role of clinical trials in PD, how to find ongoing trials, and the benefits of participating in a trial. Dr. Ellis reviewed two current exercise trials.

Stanford’s Neuroscience Supportive Care Program is offering nine virtual workshops for caregivers to those dealing with memory issues, regardless of the diagnosis (whether it be Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease Dementia, mild cognitive impairment, vascular dementia, stroke, etc.). This summer, the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) hosted a webinar on how to be optimistic with Parkinson’s disease (PD), featuring Bill Rasmussen. In the webinar, Bill, diagnosed with PD in 2014, explained how he manages his life with optimism and described how optimism can be contagious with your family members.
