The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is starting a new virtual support group for teens (13-19 years old) whose parent has young onset Parkinson’s disease (YOPD). The group begins on October 2, 2025, and will be held on the first Thursday of each month, 4-5pm PT. The group is a safe, welcoming space to share experiences with other teens, ask questions, and support one another. You are not alone! Sign up now to be added to the meeting reminder email list.
Teens have unique challenges and emotions that come with having a parent with PD. Whether you want to talk, listen, or just hang out with others who “get it,” you’re invited to join us!

This is a new APDA resource for families of people with YOPD.
To be added to the meeting reminder email list, contact the facilitator, Anushka Shiell, MS, with the APDA.
