Stanford Movement Disorder Specialist to Discuss Closed-Loop Deep Brain Stimulation at Stanford YOPD Support Group, February 12, 6:30-8:00pm

Helen Bronte-Stewart, MD, MSE, Director, Stanford Movement Disorders Center, will discuss the latest in deep brain stimulation (DBS) for Parkinson’s Disease at the Tuesday, February 12, YOPD support group meeting at the Board Room, Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital, Stanford.  Her talk is titled “Sensing Brain Rhythms Enable Personalized Closed-Loop Deep Brain Stimulation.”  The meeting starts at 6:30pm. The event is free and open to those diagnosed with PD by the age of 50 or younger and their family members. Stanford Neurosurgeon to talk about Treatments for Advanced PD and Tremor in Clovis/Fresno, February 9

Stanford-led Parkinson’s Support Group Has Moved to Little House – Second Wednesdays, 2-3:30pm

Stanford’s APDA Parkinson’s Information & Referral Center runs a local Parkinson’s  support group in the community. We have moved to Little House in Menlo Park as of September 2017.  These meetings are free and open to the public. We generally have guest speakers.  No RSVP is required.
