As part of the San Jose Parkinson’s virtual support group meeting on Friday, October 2, Stanford Movement Disorders Center director Helen Bronte-Stewart, MD, will speak on “Entering the Era of Closed Loop DBS for Parkinson’s Disease.” Then a panel of those with have had DBS will share their experiences. Join a free national webinar, sponsored by the American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) on Tuesday, September 22, from 10:00am-11:00am(PDT). This webinar on the latest treatments for Parkinson’s disease is the latest in the Spotlight series. The speakers will be movement disorders specialist Marie Saint-Hilaire, and certified neuroscience registered nurse Cathi A. Thomas, both with Boston University Medical Campus and APDA. The program is free, but pre-registration is required.

The California Department of Public Health was tasked with developing a Parkinson’s Disease (PD) Registry a couple of years ago. On Saturday, September 26, 10am-noon, the department will share with the public their findings to date. Register now as space is limited.
