Reminder about Stanford events on April 17th and April 18th

Raise awareness of PD by speaking with your family, friends, and neighbors about it. Contact a local newspaper, radio station, or TV station about how you are coping with Parkinson’s Disease. Start a blog about positive and negative aspects of Parkinson’s — if you are living with it or caring for someone with PD.
Many Northern and Central California Parkinson’s support groups have guest speakers or programs planned for April 2015. Since April is Parkinson’s awareness month, two groups have conferences planned (Merced and Redding) and there are several events at Stanford. Here’s what’s happening at a support group or venue near you.
Join us at Stanford on April 17th and 18th for several events around the new award-winning film “Capturing Grace.” The film tells the story of what happens when the legendary Mark Morris Dance Group joins forces with people with Parkinson’s Disease (PD) to stage a unique performance.
Come try out a new class at Stanford – Dance for Parkinson’s. The new class will be held on three Fridays – March 6, March 13, and April 3 – from 12:30-1:45pm. Class size is limited to 10 people with a preference given to those with PD. If there is space, family members or friends can participate. RSVP required. If there’s good participation, the class would become regular in May 2015.
