New virtual support group just for teens – First Thursday, 4-5pm PT

The American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) is starting a new virtual support group for teens (13-19 years old) whose parent has young onset Parkinson’s disease (YOPD).  The group begins on October 2, 2025, and will be held on the first Thursday of each month, 4-5pm PT.  The group is a safe, welcoming space to share experiences with other teens, ask questions, and support one another.  You are not alone!  Sign up now to be added to the meeting reminder email list.

APDA:  Brain Imaging for Parkinson’s Disease

Parkinson’s disease is typically diagnosed based on clinical exam, but there are brain imaging tests that are available to help in diagnosis. This August 2025 American Parkinson Disease Association (APDA) article is all about the Dopamine Transporter Scan (DaTscan) and other brain imaging used when PD is suspected or when the clinician seeks to exclude PD.

Stanford’s Connecting Through Art (CTA) program is back!

“Living Well with Parkinson’s and Fatigue” – Webinar notes
