US News: Medication-Free Ways to Treat Parkinson’s Disease
“PEOPLE WITH PARKINSON’S disease, the incurable neurodegenerative disorder that affects movement, have few options for medical treatment. Prescription medications can help manage symptoms, and an implantable device (a deep brain stimulator) can help control tremors – the hallmark of the condition. But many Parkinson’s patients don’t know about additional complementary or alternative treatments that can make a difference.” This recent US News article addresses those other ways to treat PD.

Kaiser Health News: For Wildfire Safety, Only Particular Masks Guard Against Toxic Particulate Matter
Some health care experts recommend the use of N95 respirator masks to help protect against wildfire smoke. Simple dust or surgical masks do not offer the same kind of protection, they warn.
