Program: Parkinson disease can impact a person’s ability to live safely and independently in their home. This presentation will provide people with Parkinson disease, their care partners, and health professionals with information and ideas to help them manage home safety problems associated with Parkinson disease. It will focus primarily on falls but will also address other potential safety problems related to the motor and non-motor aspects of Parkinson disease. It will cover risk factors for home safety problems and strategies to prevent them.
